YOurs truly installed it. after reading some forums on the DUO3, by soldering in a 1K resistor between the 3.3v pad and ground pad on the chip, this will resolve the issues....... i hope.
i can post a pic but i have wires not as neatly as in your avatar

As long as the wires are short and don't cross too much you should be perfectly OK... as long as they aren't like spaghetti, you should be fine.
 The one in my avatar is a v14 Crystal v1.1 I did a couple of weeks back.  Not heard of the 1k resistor trick... let us know how it goes. Good luck!

i do know that the 3.3v wire is 6 inches or so. should i remount the chip closer to the solder spots on the motherboard? right now i have the chip mounted on the right hand side but most of the solder points are on the left side.
One other thing i have noticed is that when i play Call of Duty2 online, i cant get online and get to the COD2 menu and select a game to play but when i do i get booted out to the online menu. BUT i can create a session map and connect there to play. I just cant join someone elses game. weird.... i could fine with the old 39001 with magic2. anyone know about this?

the resistor trick did it. sped up loading times greatly. still trying to figure out about the COD2 online play issue.
