extract contents of data1.cab?
How would I go about extracting the contents of a data1.cab file from a game? No matter what I do I can't get it to open. I'm trying to retrieve the cdsound and cdvideo folders from it. Help would be much appreciated since I don't have much experience with this technical stuff.

Try i5comp and i6comp (search for them on the Web).

I tried both of those. When I open the exe it automatically closes. I tried opening it in DOSbox, but then all that would say is that the icomp program can't be ran in dos mode. Isn't there another way or perhaps someone could do it for me?

Run the executables from a DOS prompt (or a proper file manager), not that idiotic Windows Explorer! (Yes, they won't run in DOSBox, they are Windows executables...)

Edit: When I tried to first extract the data2.cab it asked for a data2.hdr, which isn't listed in the cd directory. So I took data1.hdr and renamed it to 2. Oh, also when I extracted from data2.cab it had a bunch of .bik files that tried to extract but everyone of them came up as "check the installation medium." What does that mean? You need to read the documentation. There's always data1.hdr ONLY (the index file) but data1.cab, data2.cab etc. are just successive (data) volumes of one large archive.
