I use this thread then.Bought the original for £30 and was disgusted with the technical quality of the game.Sometimes if you walk too close to an object the character stands on top of it & some objects appear & disappear.Then there's the"white screen" which crops up frequently & blocks your view-you can turn slightly & it disappears but keeps cropping up thru the game.Even the large update which promised to fix "bugs" has not cured the problem.I have the processor & a good graphics card(supported by the game).Jowood should be ashamed of themselves for releasing such a flawed game.Gave them a piece of my mind via E Mail. AMEN

well its pretty common knowledge that jowood games are either

1. crap
2. unfinished (with patches 'due' after the gold is made)
3. buggy
4. all of the above

oh come on guys u must support the game and not to critise it...I think Jowood made one very good game.....And about bugs they wl be corrected with the upcoming patches.....

Its not the game buddy, its your system. Seeing that I dont get any bad glitches like that. Which stands to reason there is something bad about your system that the game doesnt like.

The game plays reasonably well now after updating my drivers but I still get "the white screen" obstructing my view in places which disappears if you turn left or right slightly.It was suggested it might be something to do with lack of memory,I have 1gig.Any thoughts on this & has anyone else experienced this?

Yes you need to change post proccesing option in the gothic 3 options/video/ details/. I don't know what does it mean post processing... but that options has something to do with that blank screens

Post prossesing must be set to the medium. then what damn white screen dissappears for me: AMD Athlon 2 GHZ 1 GB Ram, GF6600GT.

Then I play gothic about a hour ir two game crashes two the desktop with memory leak or somthing like that error. Some ideas? about that? Actually it does not matter how much time i play gothic. That crash can happen everytime, Im just itred to save my game after every 15-20 min.

You forgot to mention "Uberprotected to the max"...why the hell can't they use one protection??
