I doubt it is in the same location all the time. Seems to be kinda bad to have though as not being able to pull your sword near it really gotta s*ck. Also I've heard it walks away when you leave it and enter a dungeon or something and you will either have to find it again or fast travel to a city to have it again.

just wondering why do you have to pull out your sword to a unicorn. do you plans of killing it?
 you may use it for your quest. but have you seen it yet?

Its more like this: If you pull out your sword anywhere near the unicorn (attacked by enemies when near the unicorn).
