u can also disable ur optical ide devices about the BIOS. change status to not installed or disabled (depending by ur motherboard) and restart ur pc. no need to disconnect anything.

thats very much motherboard/chipset dependant... the starforce drivers can (if a compatible chipset is found) scan the atapi chain to find cd/dvd drives that you have disabled.. so while the information you state may well indeed work for you, it wont work for everyone

Hi,

I disabled my Cd-drives via the BIOS but now my Windows XP can't start up.
There is no explict error warning but it shows only the "loading" screen so I can't acess to the desktop. Any idea why that is?

Do I have to disable my CD-Drives first in Windows and then in the BIOS?

By the way... There exists a crack for Worms 4, the game seems to be in the same way protected like TM Sunrise and X3. Isn't it possible to develop on this base a crack for X3 or TM Sunrise for example?

take care

ShDo

Cracking Starforce includes a lot of manual work. (I guess; I'm way too uneducated in this matter to even start trying to crack it...) Knowing how to crack one Starforce-protected game doesn't make it much easier to crack another.
