I tried everything... Disabling the drives through SFN, through VDP, through the BIOS, the damn SF thingy detects my IDE drives as long as they take power. The solution was to unplug them completely, that's the only thing that worked. My MoBo has an Intel chipset, so I guess that all Intel users will have to wait for a crack or unplug their drives... Grrrr!

I just got this game today. I have an image of the game (MDF) and mounted it to Daemon Tools 4.00HE, installed the game (full install). From there I just clicked on the shortcut, it said something about installing copy protection (I imagine that it installed some rootkit) then I rebooted. Then since the image was still mounted in Daemon Tools I just played and it worked.
I just have an AMD Athlon 3000+ socket A (not 64bit) with 1Gb RAM, 128Mb 6600GT AGP, 1 × 36Gb Raptor on SATA1, 1 × 250Gb on SATA2, 1 × 120Gb on IDE1, 1 × DVDRW on IDE2, etc. Last edited by Boodu; 12-03-2006 at 00:27. |

Another info : my Toca 3 works with the last beta NVidia driver (84.12 I believe), but it doesn't with the last official driver (81.92 I believe).
PS : has anyone experienced problems with this game when trying to launch the "World Tour" mode ? |

Windows XP and SP2 shouldn't be a problem; read the FAQ on some more tricks. As for re-enabling your CD-ROM drive, use the same software with which you disabled it.

If you have it installed then mount your MDF in Daemon to play! Read the FAQ to find out how to mount images.

Well I am new at all this, so bare with me. I bought TRD3 and installed it, then began research on how I could play it without having to put the DVD in my drive all the time. Then I downloaded DT, VD Pro and AL120% to see how they would work. I made an image with both VD and AL120% and still have the orginal install of TRD3 If I'm understanding your right, I should just be able to mount the original mdf and play using DT is that correct? Many thanks for the help... |

This, normally, wouldnt work
![]() As mentioned multiple times in here, you have to disable your internal, phyiscally available IDE drives by unplugging the power cable. Otherwise you need a huge amount of luck to achieve this

I've been lucky with this one too!
I managed to get this working on an nforce 4 board by disabling the PATA controller (I just use RAID SATA HDD's), and running the MDF / MDS image via an external USB 2.0 HDD on DT4 - Works fine!!!
but wont work mounted on the SATA raid disks...
