Yeah, I sent in one that had the usb mod switch and the one wire installed, and no black sticker. You just have to be likable on the phone, have basic social skills, and remove the usb plug and wire, but that was easy enough to undo

And the chip came first, and then another, and then another, I really don't feel like repeating this X times for every chip, and the fake chips! So no wonder people know more about the far from perfect chip

I don't need a chip now, in fact my laser could break right now, and I could still play my PS2 no prob, which one you you chips let you do that???

And I sold that cheat device to someone else for $25, they were gona pay 80 for a chip
If cheap is better than yes, yes I am!
Maybe I'll take my laser out and go yes another obsolete part removed from my PS2

How can you do that with out your PSX original to trigger the exploit lol. Oh and by the way any Dev1 mod chip can boot HDL with out a laser hahaha.

Sounds like somebody is trying to justify using the less popular, less versatile methods of backup.

What about those games which don't work with HDL? Simply use your chip - put your disc in, hit reset and viola!.. Boot from disc

Good point. There are a small number of games that are incompatable with HDL that a mod chip will still boot from disc.

yeah, well seeing as I own all my games, I'll just put in the original, use the swap program loaded on my card, or some creative editing for my hdl, i can play just as many games as anyone modded, more if i want to play my originals online

And there are other methods to getting the exploit to work, but you have to set it up first, after that file it away, take out the laser but run the wires to.... I really don't see the point in telling you, Google for it if you want to know
I actually only read about it a month ago, I tried it last night, works fine

What a load of crap. You cant explain it cuz you just pulled it out of your ass. If you really have a way of triggering the exploit without a laser I would really like to know about it. But until I'm proven otherwise that statement of yours can be considered bullsh*t by anyone that reads it.

(spedmetal) can that chip play pal games unpatched though? and whats this i heard about the apple chip that if you set it up right..then file it away, take out the cooling fan and run 3 wires to your vaccum cleaner, you can then take out the power supply??...saving MORE $$ on the electric bill?
