This game DOES NOTsupport nVidia Geforce4 series anymore.. yes that includes Ti4200, 4400, 4600.. you have to have at least a FX5200 or ATi 9700 and up in order to play or else you will get that white screen with whole bunch of lines at the upper left corner.. i had a ti4200 yesterday, tried to game can't play .. went out and bought an ATi x700 pro.. now the game runs

it's the same for Battlefield 2.. Geforce 4 isnt supported no more. so stupid though, Ti series are better cards than FX 5200

Ehmmm... I have an ATI Radeon X800XT, and I have the same problem. So this is not a matter of a shitty gfx card (drivers up to date etc)

If it doesn't work without the crack either then it's the publisher you need to ask, not us...!

I'm having the same problem as all you other people are having. I can launch it from either the normal mode or safe mode and the end result is a black screen and the audio is running fine. I even hear the nvidia "the way it's meant to be played" running "Extreamly funny" but no video

And to think that these companies think that the copy protection actually helps. What about the people that download the full game just to make sure that it works with what they have before they drop 50 or 60 bucks on a title. Let alone the fact that this game is only 5 hours long and waaaay over priced. But this one is looking to end up in the "FUBAR'd Pile along with a few others like NFS:MW"

I'd like to check this out. I probably would have just downloaded the demo instead of spending the money on the retail but now I'm out 50bucks and still no zombie action.

The time is going to come where either a xbox 360 or ps3 will be a much more valid solution. Especially considering that the pc gaming scene is getting worse and worse as companies cry about loosing money to what they call piracy. When in fact all they would have to do is just release a demo for every game that they make and make sure that the code is solid not some slop job. and also drop the copy protection bit and just focus on making a killer game. If it's killer Everyone will buy it. Especially if it's MP and requires a cd key to play online.

Sorry for the rant. But the pc gaming scene is on a slow but sure downward spiral!!

If anyone has a fix for this that would be great! I emailed the company with my hardware spec's and they said that to uninstall and reinstall and it will work fine. Been their done that. And it works if I just run it normally with the cd. But if I try to apply the crack and then run it it will just kick to a black screen saying out of sync and the audio plays in the background.

I have a p4 [email protected] / evga 6800GT @ 440/1250 / latest nvidia drivers / Win2k-SP4 fully updated.

I tried everything on the thread and nothing works.
After I use SR7.Stop v1.2 (I press hide) and I close it, it's just like nothing happened.
I tried to run the game with the crack on GCW but the game runs very slow with the crack.
What can I do to play without the crack and hide the emulator?

Thumbs up Got it working with only Daemon Tools

I was able to get this game to work without hiding anything using the built-in emulation in Daemon Tools 4.03HE. This is for the 1.0 version of Stubbs, I haven't tried this method with the 1.1 patch yet but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I didn't need to disable any extra CD roms.
  1. Mounted and installed the game in Daemon Tools 4.03HE by mounting all 3 CDs in a seperate virtual drive. The install detected the other CDs by itself without prompting for their location(Note the image for the first CD was the mdf/mds type)
  2. Left the first CD mounted and unmounted 2 and 3. Made sure all emulation options are enabled in Daemon Tools.
  3. Made a shortcut to Stubbs.exe and changed the compatability to Windows 2000
  4. Launched the shortcut, saw the little Securom CD icon for a few seconds then the game started up fine.
