Use Hacker's View or any other real hexa editor. Also, 1780h is probably not a line number but a (hexadecimal) file offset. If you can't find the necessary bytes at that address, you might have an executable A) of different version and/or B) of different language and/or C) still copy protected/compressed/encrypted.

so hex workshop is not good enough?
i chekked if the file was Protected, no there when you say different version, you mean upgrade to newer version? The big Question comes when you mention encrypted, what does that mean? i tried to search for Hackers Wiev on google but i didnt find anything, do you know where i can download the program? Sorry, no idea about Hex Workshop, I never used it myself. As for Hacker's View, see its homepage at http://www.serje.net/sen . (The last free release is 6.10; the last shareware DOS release is 6.86; 7.x versions are shareware and Windows-only).
Yes, different version means that yours may be the release version and the trainer for an upgrade; or vice versa. Encrypted means that the executable is scrambled: you see "random garbage" instead of disassemblable machine code. Modern copy protections all do this.
