Hex Workshop and tiger woods 2006

hey there.

im trying to activate a cheat on tiger woods 2006.

i must open HEX Workshop and look for/and edit a line

the readme tells me to
1. Start Up Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006 and just create a new profile,Save & Exit
(Only Name,Buy/Change nothing else & Remember your name)

2. Fire up you Fav HEX Editor(Used UltraEdit) And Load up-
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\My Documents\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06\
Career\Players\NEW_Profile.PLR (Or whatever you called your new profile)

3: Search for:

line: 00001780h:
and the values: 4E 80 B9 0B 86 48 5A 00 00 00 00 00 00 55 AA 55
Change that line to the following:
4E 80 B9 0B 86 48 5A 05 F7 0F FA 00 00 55 AA 55

but i cant find that value line
does anybody know a solution?

Use Hacker's View or any other real hexa editor. Also, 1780h is probably not a line number but a (hexadecimal) file offset. If you can't find the necessary bytes at that address, you might have an executable A) of different version and/or B) of different language and/or C) still copy protected/compressed/encrypted.

so hex workshop is not good enough?
i chekked if the file was Protected, no there
when you say different version, you mean upgrade to newer version?
The big Question comes when you mention encrypted, what does that mean?

i tried to search for Hackers Wiev on google but i didnt find anything, do you know where i can download the program?

Joe Forster/STA 06-12-2005 06:34

Sorry, no idea about Hex Workshop, I never used it myself. As for Hacker's View, see its homepage at http://www.serje.net/sen . (The last free release is 6.10; the last shareware DOS release is 6.86; 7.x versions are shareware and Windows-only).

Yes, different version means that yours may be the release version and the trainer for an upgrade; or vice versa. Encrypted means that the executable is scrambled: you see "random garbage" instead of disassemblable machine code. Modern copy protections all do this.

Gekkogutt 06-12-2005 06:40

you mean the program Hiew?

im inside the webpage you gave me

Joe Forster/STA 06-12-2005 06:47

Yes, HIEW is the abbrevation of "Hacker's vIEW"...

Gekkogutt 06-12-2005 06:50

OK, ill try that.

thank you soo much

you should consider using HexWorkShop 4 because it simply is one of the best HexEditing Soft around.

hit CTRL + G, enter the address you want to go to.
check "Hex" and "Beginning of File".

Gekkogutt 07-12-2005 14:25

But the problem is cdkiller, i cant ffind the line 00001780h anywhere.

im using hex 3.0, should i update to version 4? and is it free?

1780h is the offset number.

Use the goto option, and use 1780 as the offset number to goto.

ctrl + g, insert 1780, enable hex and hit ok.
what message do you get ? i guess your got cheats for another version wich stores the valus at other offsets.

try this in hexworkshop:
Ctrl + F -> find hexadecimal -> 4E80B90B86485A00 (two dwords should be enough).

and is it free?
nope it got a 30day execution limit.
