Star*uck problems... fixed with this
Try this... this newer version I believe just came out and should clear up all your problems. This is the latest Daemon tools which should bypass star*uck. This is image mounting software if you didnt know. If you still need help.. do some searches for help with this software ...its well documented.

Daemon 4.0
Well... I have tried Sfcure as well and SFnightmare along with that but I cant get X3 to work either. I used Daemon 4.0 as well but it didnt work, like in the past where others have used it and it worked for them. I do have a theory though that I should uninstall Alcohol120 and only have Daemon on there because when I do use either one and use Sfcure and sfnightmare to try and run X3 it checks the disk quickly and asks me to put the disk in another drive. So apparently it knows there are more than one drive(virtual) on there even with the tools that are suppost to bypas and hide it along with your real one. Confusing stuff I know but I think only half the people who have tried have gotten X3 Reunion to work. I will try the uninstalling Alcohol with only Daemon4.0 trick tomorrow.

I have alcohol 120% installed and daemon tools v4.00 too and i have no problem.
When you get "put the disk in another drive" error it's because starforce detect your ide drives, you must unplug them if SFnightmare don't works. When you get "the serial you enter doesn't match the cd you inserted" error it's because your backup image is not good. For starforce games you must check "Data position measurement" box in the options and choose 1x when it ask the DPM speed and make the image at 4x or less. |

If you people havnt got it to work yet Got to Daemon web site and download from there 4.0 I unplugged the power to my actual dvd\cdrw then booted up my pc... then I installed daemon tools which made it a the virtual drive as D: .. I then opened an msdos box up and directed the directory to where !start is from the sfcure tools (example --> cd\ (enter) cd\temp (enter) -where temp might be the folder where sfcure tools are extracted to) then !start (enter) ) Leave that msdos box open... then open sfnightmare and click on Disable node twice just to make sure in case you have another virtual drive... now run the game. If you follow these instructions you should get it to work. After you have it working update with the patches. Its great game but be patient because you need to figure out the interface long enough to be able to change your controls to your liking.
