![]() Atleast that is what I would do, cheaper than MS repair and gives a lot more fun with the xbox... Do some reading and if you got the skills to do it yourself do that, otherwise find someone that can. Go for DuoX2 or something like that, cheap and reliable.

I second that. Get a cheap chip and if it fails to work, then it is not much money wasted. If you choose to re-purchase, then the chip can be salvaged
