Thats a big shame, I guess thats why everyone go's for the CD Version instead.
But I do & have tested that you can use your Original DVD Installer... With my DVD Version I have Modified the .MSI file to Except the NO DVD Crack instead of the Protected 1... Just Copy all of the files from the DVD Version to your Hard Drive as for Example C:\Quake 4 Just Copy the Modified .MSI file & overwrite the Original .MSI And do the Same with the NO DVD Crack Replacing the Original file & of course Backing up your Original Files as well. Tested & Working 1 Problem I think ? How can I upload it to Game CopyWorld & or can we post Direct Links for NO CD & DVD Cracks ?

@Sidney- It is entirely possible to back up protected DVDs, I've done it myself.
Anyway, first try Alcohol with the RMPS data precision on high- This should get it to run. (Try image before burning) Alternatively, you could use BlindWrite, which has always worked perfectly for me ![]() Cheers -Leezer- |

I have Tried all that with Alcohol 120% & it just will not allow me to Pick a Protection Scheem when its from a DVD.
Uploading to Game CopyWorld does not work as I have done it 2wice now & it is no where to be seen.

If the upload site doesn't work, submit patches via E-mail; that thread contains a link to the submit info page.

Before making an image, run ProtectionID to find out the games protection.
Then when making an image use that protection scheme while making an image. (bottom left of first image making wizard - change to protection) Read at a slow speed, for dvd's 4x Then burn back at 4x |

I no what the Protection is, I just cannot get Alcohol 120% to give me the List I need to choose from... using CD's no problem but DVD's no way & when trying to make Image from DVD I cannot select any Speeds & the only Options I have is "Skip Read errors" "Data Position Measurement" & the option of "Precision" Normal or High. Nothing else Except the Option that says NEVER SPLIT etc... which makes no difference. Also CloneCD is useless as it gives a Extension of .DVD & try using the Image gives an Invalid Files Type... So I am at a loss on what I can do to make a copy protected Disk
