I use a Yamaha 2100 16X10x40 and I've yet to have a problem with it. No Burn-proofing though but...eh. You can't have everything.

I don't know if anyone has gotten one of those combo drives made by cendyne, but they are the WORST pieces of crap ever made. it is ONLY compatible with nero and nothing else. The only thing they're good for is playing DVD's
