herc i sympathize .. but here's the problem .. are you willing to go through all that to get the game to work .. only to find that -since atari say 98 is unsupported- the game is untested on 98..
ie. bugs with no hope for a patch to fix them OR .. bugs that already exist in the game and the new patch that fixes them doesnt work in 98.. (even if u get the game to work by exchanging exes or performing small miracles)
