it doesn't work off of hd loader because the game chekcs for the second layer when it starts and because it's on the hard drive there is no second layer so it hangs at a black screen

if the second layer is reversed or whatever than how can the ps2 read it ?

PTP = Both layers are burned and read from the inside out

OTP = Layer 0 is burned from the inside out and then Layer 1 is burned from the outside in.


So when burned OTP the disc is checked and the files are in the wrong order (because they are at the other end of the disc) and that results in an error.
