How do I make an image of a game that can be mounted with D-tools?

O.K. suppose I use Nero to make an image to load with D-tools. What setting in Nero should I use or do I need other software other than Nero and D-tools to make this thing work? I have those 2 programs on this system but not the others you both refered to.
