hi there, i`ve checked under a mag glass and cleared between the pins with a razor blade so i think the short maybe on the small pcb whatever it does. any thoughts. cheers..

Well, just take some desolder braid and separate the connections. Do you have a picture of the problem - I'm getting a wee bit confused here...

Well, they should give you some kind of reading. The pins you specify on a spare drive I have show a reading of '002.'
