once installed, you can
1. burn the install directory to a dvd and extract the registry values, then you are ready to reinstall, copy files back from dvd to hd, and merge registry entries, very simple and easy.

if you dont have a dvd burner

2. zip the game into 700 meg cd's and burn them, then u can exract the game to the hd, and in the 1st entry, make sure u have the registry entries. then merge them.

if you change the install directory edit the registry file to show the new path.

if you have any trouble email me @ sudeley5********com.

if you dont know how to find the entries, i can email them to you when i am at home, unless i upload them first to my yahoo briefcase.

Could you help me doing a "merge" of the expansions in a way I can install the game easily?
I read something about Slipstreaming SP2. I'm aiming for something like that for the Sims.
I'm very new at these things, so I would like to learn how to deal with game installations (file copying?, cab-files?, registry updating?...) so I'm reading every tutorial (in english, german or spanish) you could link me to concerning this topic (no matter if it's from another game if I'm going to learn something I could use for making my Sims-merge).
Thanks, and sorry for my "english".

Thank you for the reply

I think I get the procedure. But I don't know how to get the entries, which were added to the registry and how to make an "exe-like" file so the entries are added "pointing" at the right directory when reinstalling.
Thanks for your help.

(I've got the spanish version of the game; don't know if the versions are compatible)
