V12 won't read DVDR
I have a v12 modded the the Matrix Infinity, CDR boot perfectly as do DVD originals etc, the problem is with DVD-R games and films which produce an 'unable to read disc' error.
Has anybody found how to adjust the laser yet?

Ok sussed!
Always test a DVDR movie in the machine before opening it up. The DVD pot on this machine had to be turned down to 300 ohms (50%) in order to get DVD-R media working. There obviously isn't much life in this laser unit! The pots on a good machine read 770.

Which leads us nicely onto the next issue, nowhere on the box/console does it refer to it as a PSTWO!
It is still a PS2
