AnyDVD works with your dvd drive to read the files from the disc without protections. It doesnt do anything for images already on your hdd.

Your not doing anything wrong and it has nothing to do with anydvd. Punisher is a lions gate film. They are using a new form of protection that will loop when you try to shrink confusing shrink and causing the error you see. But there is an easy fix.
1 use dvd decrypter and put the dvd on your HD 2 load up the files into dvd shrink 3 highlight the unreferenced material at the bottom 4 in the compression drag down window on the right where it says automatic change it to still image 5 click back up 6 feel good about yourself you now have a good backup

I dont know where you get your info from Shop Smart but I got Punisher to back up without doing anything youve done. All I did was use Anydvd and CloneDVD2.
Easy as pie, 30min entire process. Tyler!
