This will work only if you launch the setup from the harddrive as soon you burn it to a DVD it will ask for the CDs if you are not useing a patched .MSI file.

pk4 isn't that the same file format that they use in Quake 3?
Can't mean it's simple zip packed...

Actually, it's the same file format of a .pk3. If you realize, id created the quake 3 engine with the extension pk3 (basically pak3). This being basically the quake4 engine (they will be using it for that), hence why they named these pk4 (pak4). They still can be opened and re-packed with any program that handles zips.
