If people get warned for requesting cracks for newly released games/patches, why not for posting links for newly released cracks/patches? LOL

Because posting links to cracks is a SERVICE, and asking for cracks 0.56 seconds after the patch came out is a NUISSANCE. I thought that was pretty obvious.

I like posts like this, tho I dont have this game. It gave a link to the crack (hope they submit it to GCW before it goes dead) and now everyone who has an issue with this crack can add to this thread.

Otherwise we'd see dozens of requests all in separate threads for popular games.

thanks ash2dust2.. and i don't expect the link to go dead very soon coz it's my own webhost, i paid for it and i host a website on it so it isnt very good if it goes down hehe... but GCW can offcourse add it on their website so everyone who visits GCW can download it fast!

It was meant to be a tongue in cheek remark Rince, nothing more. You could moderate each post and remove the junk though, but I guess that would take too much time wouldn't it?

the crack doesn't seem to work. I can launch the game... but nothing more. Each time I try to create a new game or to load a savegame, I come back to windows
Hopefully, you can reapply the 1.3 path to play the game

Well, I've checked out the crack and as far as I can tell, it is working even with my uk version, although the crack is made for the us-version and the us x2.exe is around 4 MB while the uk-version is around 1,5 MB.
But: do not use the update included if you have a non us-version, instead download the update from egosoft, then replace the X2.exe.

What remains: I still don't know if the patch takes care of the hidden security checks, there was such a check in the older versions. If you had a bad crack, you were able to start the game and play for a few hours, then all of a sudden your ship exploded and the game was over.
I just found it suspicious that this crack came out so soon, but who knows...

And btw: the crack without the patch is upped at gcw, it's the same file.
