ps2 troubleshoot....

Man am i out of luck...

After the cleaning of the laser and also placing the ntsc color fix the system played 1 Mortal combat backup game.. seem to be working fine but after a little while the reset stopped working when i went to exchange it for another game to test.


Now the ps2 reset button stays red no matter what, the eject botton does noy work either and the fan is not even coming on... whats wrong here??

Check the reset/eject cable. It may have come loose or pinched.

I had almost the same problem after installing a lisa-xp chip.The problem was caused by a the eject cable,one of the thin contack tracks come lose and pushed back,when i pressed the cable back in.Peet Sry for my english,i'm afrikaans.

yeap thats what it was, the silver eject cable got pinched and broke one the thin contacts, tried to fixed it but no luck, guess ill have to see where to get a new one around here...
