I use DVD decryptor to RIP REGION 1 movies and your right its great. Never occured to me that i could use it to make ps2 backups.
I have just noticed that a copy of record now came with my Dell PC and never even looked at it, as i installed NERO as soon as i fitted my DVD Writer so i will have a look. Dal p.s. the verison i have is record now v 6.5.3 is that anygood?

Personally i think it's either a media problem or a prob with the ps2.
The fact that they're loading in the first place suggests that the media is ok but maybe not good enough for your ps2. Do a backup of one of your games using DVD Decryptor, Verify the backup after burning then try it in the ps2. If she's a bitch and acting up then upgrade your media to Ritek or Verbatim.

It's definately not the media - I have about 50 backups on those Datasafe/Ritek discs. I think it's definately a PS2 problem - particularly if it's 3 y.o.

I dont know anyone else how has a chipped ps2 so i cant test my copys. So maybe i should look at getting a laser upgrade or maybe sell this one and get a Silver one (so it matches my TV - ;0))
Anyone know of a place in the Uk that sells laser units, i have looked at the company i got my chipped ps2 from and there far to expensive. Thanks Dal

Try turning up the intensity of your laser by doing a POTS adjustment before spending money on a new laser.
