for some reason that link didnt work....oh well. so i have to do is load the software to my memory card and go to the d velution mode and select the program and the program will start to format the hdd? also is maxtor the best choice when it comes to compatiblity issues or are there other brands besides this one that will work better or just as good?

Well you want to format the HDD so download the one that has format in the name. Or down load them all they are all useful.

IBM drives are great too - that's what I have in mine at the moment. I had it left over from an old PC. I don't think 40GB is quite big enough though, particularly if this HDLoader thing works...
