v9 Duo2
The 'Y' point on the Duo2 is actually just another ground. Why they suggest soldering it to the chip leg on the bios in the installation diagram I don’t know. It would be much easier to just take it to the ground plan, or even jumper it to the ground on the mod chip its self. I noticed this after I soldered the wire and decided to just leave it. Next time I'll take it to the ground plan. Pretty nice chip over all. http://www.norcalmods.com/graphix/v9-duo2.jpg

Did you not read my review from 2 months ago - http://fileforums.com/showthread.php...ht=duo2+shadow
The Y point is just being used as a model select - they attempted to cleverly disguise this fact - possibly to hide which code they were using in the chips (if the rumour about it being ICE code is correct...) Either way I have been tying it to ground from my first install onwards. - V10 http://www.cyber-mag.com/station/ins..._Duo2_full.jpg I suggested to them to use link-able pads on the chip to save on having to wire the Y point to ground... End result - The Duo2 chips I have don't use the Y point anymore. - V9 http://www.cyber-mag.com/station/ins...uo2.1_full.jpg http://www.cyber-mag.com/station/ins...close_dark.jpg http://www.cyber-mag.com/station/ins...lose_light.jpg Finished this install last night at around 4am so scuse the poor lighting

just noticed we used the same alt Voltage location on the V9
![]() Multimeters make handy tools! Just a note - you can get ground from the other side of that row of three resistors - i.e. one side has 3.45V the other is ground... but your point allows for a straight wire connection without the slight bend mine has
