If your getting a reader then Id recommend any of these Toshiba models:

Toshiba SD-M1612
Toshiba SD-M1712
Toshiba SD-M1802

I have the SD-M1712 you can put a firmware hack on them to read faster than the usual dvd movie speed of 2x. They are great.
