S point... as in the SCEX point as labeled on other chips...?
What version PS2 do you have? this may help - just change the number where it says V7 if you have a different station... http://www.china-magic.com/magic3/di...GIC_III_V7.jpg Not sure what you mean by getting to the other side of the MB... as far as I was aware these were the only connection points available for this wire. You can solder to either the resistor or the cap - or bridge between them with solder and solder to both - makes the connection stronger. the points are connected with a track anyway. see attached - all the points circled are ok as alternatives.
