Hi seaneyb2003, it's very weird. Just some thoughts...
This is a known problem with AMD K6-II CPU's above 300 MHz (I have one at home ) but those have been current long ago... It still might be some timing problem: that your CPU is simply too fast for Windows 98...? Dunno, I'm having no problems with Windows 98 on an AMD Thunderbird 1000...Joe
