yes it can do dvd9 to dvd5 it can do full dvd (all extras and menus) or movie only the only thing i like about the new version (1.3.0) is the joining feature, like being able to re-join a movie that was split into 2 dvds back together however as far as the transcoding engine goes it ouputs bad video quality compared to dvdshrink3 beta5, nero recode and instant copy
