Yes I tried and it is a neo chip (ejected after 5-6 seconds). is there any difference between a neo 2.0 and neo 2.2 (effect on laser).

I am using a regionX so I can not try a dvd-r.

All neo chips do the same damage, best i can suggest is to send it away to get modded. if it comes back and you do have a problem with dvdr media then get a new machine and get the mod moved from your v4 to v7
