FADE protection does not affect a DVD-R backup of a game. It only affects a dvd rip to cd-r...
So to answer your question, NO..... If you have a backup of a dvd based game that has FADE protection and you put it on a DVD-R, you don't have to worry about it.... Copying a dvd correctly is exactly what it means.... If you don't copy it correctly, it won't boot, so then you wouldn't have to worry about the protection either... Basically what I was aiming at with that statement, is IF it was done correctly, you will have no problems.... If the game didn't boot, people would blame it on the protection instead of the backup method....
