Problem booting dvd-r's

I've tryed your method, and everything seemed to be ok but when i put the DVD-r backup the game didn't boot, i tested with all my original games. My ps2 made many noises but it DIDN'T BOOT .
Is it normal that when i put the dvd-r backup at the browser my ps2 can't read it and says DISC READ ERROR?? I'm starting to think that the backup has a problem but the guy who sold it to me says that he had played with my dvd-r backup!!and when i put it on my computer, it seems to be OK!

Please, say something i'm getting desperated. Cause i love this game SILENT HILL 2 and i can't find an ORIGINAL to buy.
