Hey -
I think I was having the same problem. You saw the intro - but then it stopped before the menu, right? Well, I figured out that all you have to do is press control-alt-delete when it "freezes", close the task manager, and then maximize Max Payne again. It works! (even though I have no idea why). Try it, and if it doesn't, I'm sorry because you're screwed. Hehe. Good luck.
