problems with xp and nero 5.5

can anyone out there help?! i recently installed xp on to my system, however when i went to re-install nero 5.5 i came across a problem. it seems fine right up until it asks for you to select the users groups you want to have access to the burner utilities. the box to select the users is empty!! and you can't select the next or back option as they aren't highlighted, and i can't install any updates because i can't actually get it installed. can anyone help me???
