problems with xp and nero 5.5
 

can anyone out there help?! i recently installed xp on to my system, however when i went to re-install nero 5.5 i came across a problem. it seems fine right up until it asks for you to select the users groups you want to have access to the burner utilities. the box to select the users is empty!! and you can't select the next or back option as they aren't highlighted, and i can't install any updates because i can't actually get it installed. can anyone help me???:( :confused:

how do i get the newer version?
 

how do i get the newer version then? and do you know if that one actually works. if you mean the update i can't install the update with out installing the programme, which it won't let me install:confused: :confused:

newer version at www.nero.com. Im sure nero 5.5 comes with support for windows xp, could be wrong. Heck theres a banner at there homepage saying so. Wouldnt hurt to try installing the latest version, 5.5.8.2.

do you have user accounts on your computer? or does it log directly into the administrator account? only the administrator has permission to burn, unless he gives this permission to others, i believe. i could be wrong. i hate bill gates.

try installing on the administrator. i had no problems getting it there when i did so. i dont even recall the screen you are talking about :(
