Tekken4 cd-r rip and the No Solder R version 5

I have the CD-R rip of Tekken 4 that is missing the movies, but I cant get it to work. I get to the little screen that has the Ryu from the Puzzle Fight games, but when I selct all characters and hit start, it goes blank and thats it.

I tried everything I could, from different options to making it PAL... nothing has worked. Will it just not work with my mod chip? I figured it would work since it gets to the screen. Do I need to apply a patch? I thought I might need to do that, but I think it has a patch all ready, so would it screw up the image to patch and image that is already patched?
