I have never seen a US game with a read error, unless it was scratched!
You do not need to ##### ignore errors on a good disk, sometimes with a scratched CD you can get a working copy by ignore errors IF the error is not located on GAME DATA, most of a CD is MUSIC and MOVIE data. I don't know if gamesharks will load a Backup or not, may need different software flashed on the gameshark. Try your CD's on a friends PSX who HAS a MOD CHIP, and GET a mod chip, it's the best way! Do your burns finish good on your computer? Can your computer read your CD's? Look at the contents, all PSX CD's should have a system.cnf file and slus#. Some burners have weak lasers and PSX will not read a CD recorded from them. Even if you do not have a MOD chip, or any way to boot a backup, You can usually tell if a PSX will read the CD from the CD audio player screen. Put in the CDR at the audio player screen and at least 1 track should appear. If no tracks appear then it can't read a CD from your burner! |
