Yeah it sounds like your original may have a scratch, but there are other options. Give cdrwin a try, even if the disk has errors, it will keep going and tell you how many there are. Also before you use cdrwin give the disk surface a clean. But make sure you know how to clean the surface, or you can do more damage (centre to outside, NOT round in circles). I can make a difference, I've done it. Give these a shot.
