He is using an original disc.
The problem is that he cannot change the disc because this then resets the psone requiring the need to use the ps-x-change cd again, which of course won't then accept the 2nd disc because there is no save available at the end of the first disc. Unfortunately the only way around this is with a modchip fitted.
