Beginner - Query Burning an .ISO

I have an .ISO which was created with Alcohol 120% and I am assured that it works.

I have tried burning it with Nero and Alcohol 120%. Both produce CDs that install but there is obviously some disk protection on them because they don't always run.

I could understand if they didn't run at all but if I keep trying they will run.

Sometimes it might be on 1st or 2nd attempt, others might be after 5 or so and sometimes I just give up.

With Nero I just used the 'burn image' option. With Alcohol 120% I used the DAO+RAW option (just because it seemed to be the most used of the protected disk options). The Nero disk works more often than the Alcohol 120% one.

The information is obviuously there because it does run sometimes - it's just that it can't be read reliably.

I figure it's either down to

(i) the way I'm buring the image
(ii) the CD-Rs that I'm using
(iii) or the CD Burner

Other than that I'm stumped - Any ideas what I can check?

Cheers,

Nigel
