XBOX 360 Controller PC
Hey foks,
wasn't sure were to put it since it's kind of both related to software and hardware, so it goes to general gaming. I recently bought a xbox360 controller for use with my pc. "Why not buy a Logitech Rumble Pad or something? It's cheaper and made for your PC", you might ask, but I got the old xbox and I like its controllers very much. Don't like the PS2 layout used by Logitech... However, I installed the MS Software and the pad is running in the control panel. All buttons work, no problems here. But here we go: I tried to use it in the following games: NHL 06, Shadowgrounds, Prince of Persia WW. In NHL, only half the buttons are recognised, the triggers don't work, so do the analogue stick buttons. Shadowgrounds and POP don't recognise the pad at all. Should that be it? MS says it works with all dX based games. I mean if it doesn't even work with the EASports games, what other games are PC players supposed to use a gamepad for? Yeah, sure, I'm gonna use it in Call of Duty 2 for example... I did know that vibration is not supported yet, but no one told me that you can't use it on most games. I only read comments by people who use it for NFS:MW, with no problems. So, any of you successfully using it on your PC? Am I doing anything wrong? Am I expecting too much? I don't got the new xbox and the controller won't work with the old one, so if I don't want to have bought some pretty expensive garbage, I better get it running. |
