Smile How to LAN in Quake 4

Hello All,

Anyway my friends and I have came up with a way for you guys to LAN Quake 4 if you ever throw a LAN Party. Tomorrow we were going to LAN Quake 4, but how can we with one cdkey. Well here is how.

1) Using your Router configuration usually under 'Security', block ports 1200-2500. ( By doing this you are bypassing the cdkey check screen ), you will then go straight to the main menu. You need ONLY to block the ports so your game Quake4.exe can gain access on the Local Area Network. DO NOT block the whole program.

2) When the hosting server/computer is creating the server be sure to click "unblock" when the windows firewall notification comes up, if you are using the integrated firewall in XP.

3) Thats it and LAN.

I Hope this helps whoever wants to LAN quake 4, thanks.
