XIII question regarding nocd

HI guys n gals. Before i start id like to point out i DID use the search option 1st but it diddnt clear up my question. I have the XIII v1.0 English nocd/fixed exe from GCW. This is currently working no probs (so far) but i am confused because there is another file to D/L for the v1.0 nocd which is called "fixed files" (it contains sound for the game) and the NFO states that i should insert the fixed files 1st and then the nocd/fixed exe 2nd. Like i said the game seems to be working fine at present without the fixed files installed and im wondering why that might be as the info states the nocd should be applied after the fixed files. Has anyone else out there used the nocd (v1.0) without using the fixed files ? Did the game run ok ? or did it run ok at 1st but later into the game there were probs ?. I know some ppl will say if its working then whats the prob ?. However id like to know weather to expect probs later on in the game ect. Any info on my above questions will be appreciated.
