Oops! Flashed wrong bios!

Sevi.. I hate to mention this but if I remember right it's a possibility.
I have a 1.6 and I believe I remember correctly that if you attempt to boot up with any bios other than the M8_1.6 bios on a 1.6 machine you can do physical damage. That was the only compatible bios that I knew of then and it might still be (that I have seen).

I do know it was very bad to boot with a different type. By "M6" I am guessing you're talking about M8_16.. And if you tried your buddy's chip in your machine and it still frags, it's either a bad connection or you may have smoked something on your motherboard..

Just one thought though.. And I hope it's wrong.. Especially around Christmas.. That would be most un-mint.
