Well from what I understand, most PAL TV sets will still understand an NTSC signal, so dont think it was the chip that was correcting this with your M1.

The screen position thing for PSX games I'm also not sure about with a PAL TV set as I'm obviously in the US with all NTSC equipment. Lufc will have to get this one if he cares.
