You shouldn't have a problem at all. Just take the network adaptor and get a good HD such as a Seagate or what have you, up to 160gigs, and know that it will only read about 137gigs, and just hook the two together and put it in the HD bay in the upper back, screw it in place, of the PS2 if your standing it up that is. Put in the HDloader disk and it will format the drive for you. It takes about a minute and you'll be installing games in no time. The chip you mention shouldn't have a problem either so have fun and enjoy!
