Ok stupid question im new to the PS2 mod's "I have an XBox modded and love it" How hard is it to install the hard drive to the PS2? Is it internal? And will it run with a Matrix Infinity ok? "I decided on the matrix over the flip top thanks to the good people on this board" Im on the road all the time and not having to bring my games with me sounds great. I have a network adapter will I need anything else? Thanks, Ron

You shouldn't have a problem at all. Just take the network adaptor and get a good HD such as a Seagate or what have you, up to 160gigs, and know that it will only read about 137gigs, and just hook the two together and put it in the HD bay in the upper back, screw it in place, of the PS2 if your standing it up that is. Put in the HDloader disk and it will format the drive for you. It takes about a minute and you'll be installing games in no time. The chip you mention shouldn't have a problem either so have fun and enjoy! :)

matrix works great with hd loader i have one. i got a maxtor 80GB hd (best buy was out of the 120s :mad: ) and if was formated in a couple of seconds. and its not hard to install at all just stick the hd on to the networ adapter and put the network adapter back into the ps2

I just got the sales add from the sunday paper and our local Best buy has a seagate 120g hdd on sale for 59.99 after rebates. Its 119.99 regular with a $20 and a $40 rebate. Sale will be over this coming saturday. Perhaps your local Best buy has the same sale. This is the same hdd i put in mine and its working great. ;)
