DISC 2 does not use Ritek dye 00 42 00 00 01 40 D6 FD 9E D8 20 00 02 0E 07 05 .B...@.... ..... 88 75 0D 00 03 4D 43 43 20 30 30 00 04 52 57 31 .U...MCC 00..RW1 31 4E 39 00 05 05 88 75 0D 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 1N9....U........ ALL OF THIS INFO WAS GATHERED USING DVD Identifier DISC 1 uses Ritek dye Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD-R:RITEKG03] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disc Type : [DVD-R] Manufacturer ID : [RITEKG03] Disc Application Code : [Unrestricted Use : Consumer Purpose] Recording Speeds : [1x - (2x)] Blank Disc Capacity : [2,298,496 Sectors = 4,489.3 MB = 4.38 GB] DISC 2 does not use Ritek dye Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD-RW:MCC 00RW11N9] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disc Type : [DVD-RW] Manufacturer ID : [MCC 00RW11N9] Disc Application Code : [Unrestricted Use : Consumer Purpose] Recording Speeds : [1x] Blank Disc Capacity : [2,298,496 Sectors = 4,489.3 MB = 4.38 GB] All 4 of these test were done with the SAME 2 discs. Both were Verbatims. So as Tyler said, NOT all Verbatims use Ritek dye, BUT SOME DO... So before saying they dont do a little research first. ![]() @ Ice Man II....
